There is no known force in the entire universe more powerful than a Black Hole. Once something enters there is no escape. As shown many times in many different movies, once you pass the event horizon then it is over.
The exact same thing applies if you are Black in the United States. No matter what you do in your life, once you are born Black then there is no escape. Doesn't matter if only one of your parents is Black, your grandparents are not Black, how many non-Black relatives you have, or what you want to identify yourself as, you are going to be called Black if you have dark skin and look Black.
At least once a day I get sucked into being Black. It never fails, someone will contact me to tell me another issue that Black people have that needs fixing or they will tell me how Black people need to change their "self-destructive ways". I am always stuck between conspiracy and fantasy, either the "white man" whole existence is to destroy Black people from history or Black people need to just suck it up and overcome all of this imagined real racism that has plagued this group of people.
It is at this point where hopefully you will begin to see why we are stuck. At times I can't tell who is lost the most. Imagine if you will speaking to people that believe in a completely different history and reality of the world. I guess in reality both of them do. Neither believes what they see and observe with their eyes and ears everyday and will go to their grave before they change their minds.
Earlier this year for Black History Month I spent every single day discussing a different topic that is generally accepted as being an issue for the Black community. At the end of the month I accepted the fact there is no such thing as a Black community. There are a lot of people with dark skin, but there is not an accepted culture that the majority of Black people accept. Heck tey don’t even agree on what to call each other Black, African American, or N****. I run into people all the time that are as dark as anyone you have ever met that refuse to say they are Black, instead they are German, Irish, Italian, and course Native American.
If I had not reached this conclusion before I definitely have reached it now after seeing yet again, several articles written to describe why Black men date outside their race and why Black people need to name their children with "white" sounding names so they can get a job. Add to that another Black celebrity that thinks it is ok to insult homosexuals and you pretty much know where I stand.
Yep this is a Black Hole and the only escape will be Heaven because we all know what happens to matter in a Black Hole. That's right you are transported to another universe. Wonder if it will be based on simple black and white.
