The title alone is going to upset some people because they have been told over and over again that you are not suppose to judge people. This is probably the biggest misinformation out there spread by people of weak understanding and even weaker faith. It is very clear that the Bible teaches us to use the Spirit to walk the right path in life and if we don’t use this divine grace we will be led astray.
If you have followed me over the years then you know this is a topic I speak on all the time. The reason for that is because false believers are the main thing that leads so many people down the wrong path because they simply don’t have the faith to know what is of God and what is not of God. This is why the Bible teaches us the dangers of following false prophets.
So why is it so easy for people to follow false Christians? Well that answer starts with the misinformation spread that says that you are not suppose to judge people. If you never judge anyone’s actions as right or wrong then how would you ever know when they were saying something that is not false?
We as followers of God have to have the courage to speak out against those that are spreading false doctrine to people. It doesn’t matter what degrees they hold, how long or short they have been going to church, how many people follow them, or who the Word of God may upset. We have to believe and be convicted by the Word of God and we have to be willing to speak that truth.
The questions I get asked the most are from people that are trying to validate some falsehood that they heard somewhere and see if it is really of God or if it is false. They already know the information they receive is false because the Spirit has told them that it is false. They are hoping that there is some out because either they want it to be true or they are afraid to stand alone when their peers believe this falsehood.
See people forget that Jesus said that everyone that calls him Lord is not of Him. There are a lot of people that say they know God, but they don’t actually believe God. Well at least not my God. They believe in the god of money, the god of self, the god of greed, the god of vanity, and the god of wishes. They believe in a god but it is not God.
We forget that over the past 2000 years, people that have claimed to be Christians have committed some of the most heinous crimes in history. Genocide, slavery, and war are the legacy left by these Christians. Are we not suppose to say these acts go against the teachings of Jesus Christ?
People are free to call themselves anything they wish. People will call themselves Christian but will not live a life following Jesus. They will do everything in life but serve God and will challenge anyone that points this out. We are told that we should not call out these wolves but that was not what Jesus told us to do.
It is our duty as servants of God to always speak His Word in the presence of those that seek to mislead people. Everyone’s faith is not strong. Many people are just seeking any signs of love and care they can get. False Christians know this and use it to prey on the weak. They give them a false doctrine that sounds good and makes them feel good.
If you are going through something you don’t want to hear how you need to endure. You want to hear how is your pain going to end. If you are struggling with a sin that you want to continue doing, you don’t want to hear how you need to stop. You want to hear how what you are doing is okay and is not even a sin.
In the end we must remember that God will judge us all. It is our job as servants to simply spread His Word. It is up to others to listen. God will judge those that are false in the faith when the time comes.
