I personally believe in my heart as a devoted man of GOD, that Tim Tebow's recent promotion to become the new starting Quarterback for the Denver Broncos was a direct result of his faithfulness to remain positive and committed to GOD'S principles.
Tim is a devoted Christian. He came from a family who is devoted to GOD. His family instilled all of the positive characteristics one male needed to become mature grown real man of GOD. He enjoyed a lot of success both in high school and in college, but once he got into the NFL, he faced a major ordeal that tested his faith.
His rookie year, he was the back up QB. At the end of training camp this year; he was demoted to third string QB. The media hounded him in hopes of seeing and hearing complaints of a frustrated and angry football player who was used to being the star. However, Tim shocked everyone with maintaining a positive attitude: "I am here to do whatever they ask of me that will help my team win." Now how often do we here a famous successful player say something like that? I think we have gotten too use to the Terrell Owens rants and other players who complain and whine when they do not get what they want. Not this guy. Tim continued to work hard and LISTEN so he can build and grow stronger, knowing that one day, he may get the starting position.
Then earlier this week, Tim was informed that he was now the starting quarterback. Keep in mind that performance wise, everyone feels that the other quarterback Kyle Orton is the better quarterback, BUT it's Tim POSITIVE ATTITUDE and determination to win, is what won fans over and the coaching staff over.
All of this occurred because Tim maintained a POSITIVE ATTITUDE during his ordeal and disappointment. You know what else he did? He accepted his humbling position with grace and pure acceptance.
Not one time did he complain. We can seriously take notes from his guy about handling disappointments and being placed in humbling positions. But most importantly, we know where he got his ability to remain positive don't we? Recall that he is a devoted MAN OF GOD with a support system that is also devoted to GOD.
When you look into Tim's ordeal about this pro career, you discover another POWERFUL example of how GOD'S power works. God without warning may put you in humbling situations where you lose a lot or lose everything, but if you maintain a positive attitude and your faith that GOD has a bigger plan and blessing for you, then you will embrace the situation as a chance to learn, grow, and become stronger; so when it is time for you to receive the blessing that GOD has planned for you, you will be spiritually mature, confident, and humble enough to take that blessing and enjoy it!
