Have you every look at a fashion magazine and said "WOW! I wish I could look like that." or "I wonder where I can find that outfit?" I have. When I was a girl I would look at clothes with a longing that was beyond admiration. I would see a starlet on screen or in a magazine and wonder at their attire, the style of hair and the choice of make up. I marvel at the power of the transformation of turning an average looking individual into a dream.
As a teen I went through lots of different style and brands of make up only to settle on the vision that was originally given to me. To look into the mirror and see the face of the sophisticated woman and like what I see. My make up collection is down to a small bag that is rarely ever used instead of the daily massive drawer or box which only purpose was to house the mounds to make up.
I find that I no longer feel I require the excessive hair products and different shades of eye shadow, lip color and liners I am very content with what I see. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying I do not enjoy make up at all far from it. I still like enjoy facials and manicure and pedicures but I do them myself with my daughter. I think of it as bonding time for us just girls being girls.
And though I am no longer a girl I still enjoy doing those things with my favorite girl in the whole world.
